Chris Hemsworth vs. Liam for Thor Role

(CHRISHEMSWORTH.ORG) – The role has yet to be confirmed by Marvel Studios, but both brothers Chris and Liam competed for the role until the offer was given to Chris Hemsworth.

Chris Hemsworth plays George Kirk, the father of Captain Kirk in Star Trek.

Also, rumored is that Daniel Craig supposedly declined the role leaving it wide open for Chris Hemsworth and his brother.

Tom Hiddleston Cast as Thor’s Nemesis, Loki

(CHRISHEMSWORTH.ORG) – Tom Hiddleston, a relatively unknown English actor, was cast as Loki in the Marvel Comics live adapation of Thor.  It’s been written that director Branagh believed Hiddleston would be a good fit to play Loki, the brother and nemsesis of Thor. Loki is the “God of Mischief” and was banished from the kingdom of Asgard by their father Odin.

Chris Hemsworth Lead in Red Dawn Remake

soviet-union(CHRISHEMSWORTH.ORG) – The 1984 film Red Dawn is getting a 21st century makeover and Chris Hemsworth has been cast as the lead.

The film is about a group of teens that resist a Russian invasion of the United States.  The movie will be directed by Dan Bradley, who has done work in Quantum of Solice and The Bourne Ultimatum.

“The tone is going to be very intense, very much keeping in mind the post-9/11 world that we’re in. As Red Dawn scared the heck out of people in 1984, we feel that the world is kind of already filled with a lot of paranoia and unease, so why not scare the hell out of people again?” said script writer Carl Ellsworth.

Chris Hemsworth Cast as Thor

Thor(CHRISHEMSWORTH.ORG) – It’s been leaked that Chris Hemsworth may have the lead role to portray Thor in the live action film. According to Nikki Finke at Deadline Hollywood, Hemsworth is set to play the Norse God of Thunder.

This was a big week for Hemsworth since he’s also been been cast as the lead in the Red Dawn remake.

As of this writing, Chris Hemsworth has yet to be officially announced by Marvel Comics to play Thor but according to Variety, he is in final negotations.
